Rebecca

The pages of life are turning. Our hearts keen over the loss of our little Rebecca. As the bright, sunny, loving seven year old daughter of our closest friends she was a sparkle in our lives that we have been forever blessed for having known and loved. We give thanks to God for sharing her with us and through our tears we try to center on the joy felt in Heaven as this little flower was taken home.

--Honorary Auntie, Raimie Harrison

P.S. I will be updating this blog as more information becomes available. Please feel free to leave comments for the family. I know they appreciate your love, concern, and the memories you shared with their dear Rebecca.

Note:

This is not the formal obituary, which will be posted as soon as it is published. These are merely the words of an honorary auntie who loved Rebecca like a niece.

Rebecca Irene was the second daughter of Jacob and Julia Wostrel of Clarks, NE. She is survived by 2 sisters, 2 brothers and an unborn sibling due mid February as well as many relatives and countless friends. Rebecca was born March 10, 2005 with a doll-like face, red hair, Spina Bifida and enough determination to knock every barrier that her disability put in front of her. She passed away last night (1-14) at 10:02 pm at Children's Hospital in Omaha from complications of an infection. Jeffrey and I are honored, humbled and heartbroken to have stood beside her parents last night as her earthly journey ended. May you stand by them in these days through your prayers and love for their precious family.
